Planking: The Lying Down Game

OKAY, lately, I was frequently hearing this word "PLANKING"

Well, this past few days, I did not know what it was. So, I started to search on it in the internet worrying that I am outdated with the current trends.

What I found out is this STUPID lying down photographs of f*cking people, celebrities, health care provider and the like!

Ooppssss! Sorry for those bad ass words, I can't help but to say 'em. Because I honestly don't really think that this freaking thing as cool stuff, even just a bit. People just look stupid doing this silly thing in public. There are even some who are planking whose faces are placed in the toilet bowl and do you think that's nice? Well, that stinks I think but I won't try it either even if it is in a private place. Ewww!

I even saw a photo in FaceBook of one the clinical instructors in our university planking inside the Faculty Room. Ermmm, I cannot really see any humor in it. That is what I call UNprofessionalism, doing silly things wearing your nursing uniform carrying the name of the College and also the name of the University. As an educator, he must act the right thing, he should be a good role model to his students, I think, there is no need to expound more on that.

Maybe you are wandering why this PLANKING thing is posted in this blogsite except for the instance that I have just stated above. The reason behind is that I found out that there were Doctors and Nurses who doing this internet craze and they got suspended because they have violated the code of conduct (2009). Source: http://www.timesonline.co.uk/


In my mind, I was asking myself. "What have drawn these EDUCATED people to do such thing that they did not even thought of committing malpractice with their field of practice or even just SHAME in their part doing that silly game in public?"
